ELECTRICAL & INSTALLATION
If you want full output — especially at 0.5 ohm — upgraded electrical is mandatory. Use a properly designed high-output charging system, Big 3 upgrade, sufficient AGM or lithium reserve, correctly sized OFC wiring, proper fusing, and low-resistance grounds.
The 4500.1 calls for 400A total fusing, 200A per positive run. Keep system voltage stable under load; operation below 11V is not covered under warranty.
Before wiring to 0.5 ohm or strapping amplifiers, calculate the final impedance of the complete subwoofer/voice-coil network. Wiring below the covered load is not warrantable.

Is the 4500.1 really covered at 0.5 ohm?
Yes. The standard 1-year manufacturer defect warranty covers operation down to 0.5 ohm when all Ruthless installation and operating requirements are met.
Can I strap two 4500.1 amplifiers?
Yes. The amplifier is designed to be strapped at a 1-ohm final load. Proper signal setup, matching gain, wiring, and electrical support are critical in a strapped system.
What electrical upgrades do I need?
The exact system depends on vehicle and use, but high-output charging, a Big 3 upgrade, adequate battery reserve, and full-size OFC power/ground wiring should be treated as part of the build — not optional extras.
What can void warranty coverage?
Warranty does not cover vibration damage, wire or debris inside the amplifier, wiring below the covered impedance, external RCA damage, excessive clipping, or operation below 11V. Full warranty terms apply.

The Ruthless 4500.1 is a high-output competition monoblock rated at 4,500 watts RMS at 1 ohm, 2,350 watts at 2 ohms and 1,200 watts at 4 ohms at 14.4 volts. Ruthless rates the amplifier stable at 0.5 ohm per amp and 1 ohm when two amplifiers are strapped.
Tiffany-style RCA inputs, 1/0 power connections, 0.2–6V input sensitivity, a 10–250Hz frequency response and 0–180° phase control give the 4500.1 the hardware and tuning range expected from a serious subwoofer amplifier.

Ruthless specifically calls for upgraded electrical if the 4500.1 is going to be used at 0.5 ohm. The amp uses 400 amps of total fuse protection, split across two positive runs, so the charging system, batteries, grounds and cable need to be planned around the actual current demand.
Running low impedance on weak electrical is the fastest way to turn a strong amplifier into an unstable system. Build voltage support first.
